On Tuesday, a new provider of COVID-19 testing, San Francisco-based Carbon Health, will begin operating at the San Mateo County Event Center with the ability to accomodate between 1,500 and 2,000 tests per day, the County announced today.
The walk-up PCR testing site will operate Tuesdays through Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Event Center at 2701 S. Delaware St. Patients can register here in advance or walk up to the testing site. Test results are anticipated in 48 hours.
Tests are no-cost, and no patient will be asked for payment nor receive a bill, the County said. Patients with insurance will be asked to enter their information but won’t be responsible for any copays or bills from their insurance company for the test, officials added.
