Publisher’s Note: Climate goes fully online

in Community

For almost eight years, Climate has offered a unique voice to Redwood City and the surrounding area. With the support of our readers, outstanding journalists up and down the West Coast have created an environment of excellence, winning scores of awards and placing the magazine within the pantheon of outstanding publications in the San Francisco Bay Area.

In 2021, the San Francisco Press Club named Climate the Greater Bay Area’s best magazine. Last year, Climate won 20 of 34 available awards in its press club division. None of that could have happened without your belief in the publication and your willingness to support it with your loyal readership.

The journalism business continues to evolve, and its challenges are greater than ever.  Many outlets have called it quits, and many more have moved solely into the digital space.

Climate Magazine has joined other publications that are now 100 percent online. Although our February issue was our final printed edition, our coverage of Redwood City and beyond continues uninterrupted through Climate Online. Indeed, we are currently expanding our focus to cover the entire mid-Peninsula.

It has been a delight and a privilege to produce this preeminent news source, which continues to enrich the civic life of the mid-Peninsula. You have played a vital role in our success. We believe great things are still to come.
