A Peninsula boxing gym opened last week in new and improved digs in Redwood City.
Undisputed Boxing Gym (UBG) opened at 380 Convention Way and called its first week a “total success.” In existence since 2006, the gym was formerly located in a San Carlos spot that had reportedly suffered from wear and tear.
In the days leading up to the grand opening of the Redwood City location, UBG declared on Facebook that it won’t miss its old location’s leaky roofs and floor holes and was looking forward to a newer, larger facility.
The fitness center has operated since 2006 by owner Brian Schwartz, a 7-time world kickboxing and sport karate champion, according to the business’ website. Undisputed Boxing Gym features classes, personal training services, and a full-service gym.
The gym opens Monday through Friday from 5:15 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 6:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
