Redwood City is welcoming several new businesses: Pasha Mediterranean, RockSalt Pilates, Bubble & Wrap Waffle Co. and Courthouse 2021.
Pasha Mediterranean is an authentic Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant located at 837 Jefferson Avenue that will feature a hookah bar on the outdoor patio. Owner Serkan Bikim also owns Hummus Mediterranean Kitchen in downtown San Mateo.
Also coming from San Mateo is RockSalt Pilates, which has opened at 2658 Broadway in Redwood City and is owned by Adrien Ramirez. The full body workout studio offers Pilates, intense cardio, resistance training, and light weights.
In December, the city welcomed Bubble & Wrap Waffle Co. to 2070 Broadway. The new eatery features Hong Kong Style waffles with sweet and savory toppings and is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert.
Tentatively on April 24, Courthouse 2021 (http://www.thecourthouse2021.com/) will celebrate its grand opening at 2020 Broadway, the site formerly occupied by Mandaloun. The restaurant’s opening has received coverage in both the San Mateo Daily News https://www.smdailyjournal.com/lifestyle/food/courthouse-set-to-open-in-redwood-city/article_ef0b7e92-3dfe-11e8-a692-87e5e38ff098.html and Palo Alto Online https://www.paloaltoonline.com/blogs/p/2018/03/26/the-courthouse-2021-opening-soon-in-redwood-city, and describes itself as serving farm-fresh American cuisine including steak, chicken, lamb, seafood, cocktails and a “world-class wine program” in a courthouse setting.
