David Donald Lewis, 46, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to felony charges of annoying or molesting a child in San Mateo County Superior Court.

At about 10:35 a.m., Lewis was going through garbage cans near the library when a man walked by with his 2-year-old daughter. Lewis allegedly asked the father if he could touch the child, prompting the father to call police.

Lewis, who hasĀ  a 2015 misdemeanor conviction for annoying or molesting a child charges, later told officers he thought the girl was cute and wanted to touch her, according to prosecutors, adding, “I was thinking about sex a little bit. She’s sexy.”
