Maintenance of two Redwood City roadways are set to be funded an increase in state fuel taxes and registration fees.
On Monday, the Redwood City Council voted in favor of using $486,000 in SB 1 funds — legislation aimed to raise money to repair the state’s crumbling roads — toward projects on Hopkins Avenue from El Camino Real to Upland Road, and on Twin Dolphin DriveĀ from Marine Parkway to Redwood Shores Parkway.
Both roadways are set to receive preventative rehabilitation and pavement maintenance, including raising utility covers to grade, ADA improvements and the installation of associated markers and striping, according to city documents.
The Hopkins Avenue project is expected to be done in December 2019, while the Twin Dolphin Drive project is estimated to be completed in April 2019.
