A 4-year-old boy from Redwood City died after being found unresponsive in a hot tub at a South Lake Tahoe resort, according to multiple news reports citing the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities were called to the MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, according to Lake Tahoe News. After first responders tried to revive the boy, he was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The incident appears to be an accident but the local coroner is investigating, the news reports stated.
