One Acts and Snacks coming to Redwood City

After performing three seasons in Brooklyn, NY, One Acts and Snacks, a monthly gathering of up-and-coming playwrights for a night of staged readings of works in progress, is set to make its West Coast debut at the Dragon Theater in Redwood City on Monday, Feb. 26.

Audiences will hear the scripts, as well as the process behind them and each playwrights goals moving forward at the performances set to start at 7:30 p.m. at the theater at 2120 Broadway St. Doors open at 7 p.m.

The show will include readings of “Downstairs” by Erin Lane and “White Iris” by Linda Giron, along with several other short pieces.

Time is provided between shows for Q&A with the playwrights and to network and snack.

One Acts and Snacks began in January of 2015 with the stated aim of supporting and nurturing new art, giving voice to artists and patrons alike, and inspiring even greater artistic endeavors.

The event is cash only, with a suggested minimum donation of $5-$10. Concessions will also be available for purchase.
