Redwood City police chief to be sworn in March 8

Newly hired Redwood City police chief Dan Mulholland will be sworn in during a ceremony on March 8 at 2 p.m.

Mulholland was announced as the new chief Feb. 15 (hyperlink to archived story). He replaces Deputy Chief Gary Kirby, who has served as interim chief since the retirement in December of JR Gamez.

At the March 8 ceremony, Addy Silva will be promoted to Lead Police Clerk. And new officers will be sworn in, including Matthew Barrera, Dominic Anderson, Athena Maskarich, Justin Hong, Kevin Strauss, and Temitayo Wilson-Anumudu.

The event will take place at the Redwood City Police Department Atrium at 1301 Maple St.
