Edgewood Road was closed from Cordilleras Road to Alameda De Las Pulgas this afternoon due to a fire in the area, according to the Redwood Police Department, which urged drivers to use alternate routes.
A fully-involved garage fire was reported at 1391 Edgewood Road at 12:14 p.m., according to the Redwood City Fire Department. The fire is reported at a residence located next door to the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. No injuries were reported.
The police department released the road closure notice at 12:26 p.m. but the roadway has since reopened.
