If you are one of the many folks that want a beautifully landscaped yard but don’t have the green thumb, the Redwood City Library is hosting a workshop focusing on easy to grow native plants.

The talk will feature Sherri Osaka and will teach about the many easy-to-grow native trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals for the home garden.

Sherri Osaka is a licensed Landscape Architect and owner of Sustainable Landscape Designs. She has over 20 years of specializing in native plants, graywater and rainwater irrigation.

Her workshop is scheduled to take place on April 19 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Downtown Library at 1044 Middlefield Road. The event is hosted by the Santa Clara County Valley Chapter of the California Native Plant Society and the Friends of the Library Bookstore.
