Volunteers sought for Stulsaft Park beautification event

in Community

Calling all “park champions.” The community is invited to a volunteer event at Stulsaft Park, 3700 Farm Hill Blvd., in Redwood City on Saturday, Jan. 25. The cleanup will run from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Volunteers should expect to walk across muddy terrain while pulling weeds, installing native plants, and enjoying the scenery. Organizers advise participants to bring water bottles, hats, and sunscreen, and come wearing pants, a long sleeve shirt, and close toe shoes.

In order to volunteer, all participants must register and approve the online waiver through this Eventbrite page. Registration is free. Participants are asked to meet at the lower entrance by the “Stulsaft Park” sign.

This event is held by the nonprofit Grassroots Ecology as part of its first partnership with Redwood City’s Park Champions pilot program, which organizes volunteers to help beautify city parks.
