Redwood City residents asked if they want storefront cannabis shops

Redwood City considers storefront cannabis shops

in Community/Featured/Headline

Do you want to see storefront retail cannabis businesses operate in Redwood City?

The community is invited to weigh in on the proposal on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 7-9 pm at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center at 1455 Madison Ave in Redwood City.

The city is in its fourth phase of implementing regulations for commercial cannabis businesses. Already completed, the first three phases allowed for the delivery of retail cannabis from warehouse delivery centers in Redwood City. The fourth phase will consider revisions to the City’s municipal zoning codes that would allow storefront or walk in cannabis retail stores.

Another community meeting will take place March 5 at the Fair Oaks Community Center from 7-9 pm. Residents can also take an online Retail Cannabis Business Survey. Results from the survey will be compiled and used as feedback for the City Council. Responses will remain anonymous and submissions are due by 11:59 pm on Thursday, March 12.
