All locations in the San Mateo County Library system are closed today through Tuesday, March 31, to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Most outreach and mobile services are also be suspended. Patrons can continue to drop off library materials but due dates and holds will be automatically extended. Cardholders don’t have to worry about fines for overdue items, as the library system went fine-free in 2019.

Online materials can still be accessed, including ebooks, streaming content, digital newspapers and homework resources and other resources. Visit the SMC Library site here for more information.

Meanwhile, San Mateo County’s system of 23 parks, such as Edgewood, Huddard, Friendship and Coyote Point, will remain open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. See the list of parks here.

However, gate houses at parks will be closed and visitors are asked to pay at designated pay stations. Also, all staff and docent-led events, including hikes and tours, are canceled through March, as well as Bicycle Sunday. In addition, Parks’ main office in Redwood City and the Coyote Point Marina office will be closed to the public.
