Redwood City Public Works is hosting a Community Paper Recycling Shred event for residents on Aug. 29.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot at 1400 Broadway Street.
Each car may only drop off up to three bankers boxes of shreddable materials. The event is for Redwood City residents only and proof of residency is required.
“Different from previous shred events, this year staff is coordinating the event to be curbside pick-up or drop off,” the city said. “If you choose to do the curbside pick-up, please place your shredding materials in your trunk, labeled and remove personal items from your truck. Leave your truck open and staff will pick up the shredding materials. You may also choose to drop off your shredding materials on the table.”
Enter the event from Broadway Street and follow staff direction. Those doing curbside pick-up will follow the north lane and exit onto Chestnut. Those dropping off a box will be directed to park in the south lane. Signage will help direct cars on where to go.
