in Community/Education

The Redwood City Library is offering Children’s Book Bags for sale and pick-up.

The Library said it has been receiving requests for how patrons can buy books again.

“And with no reopening of the Library in the near future, we came up with an idea,” officials said. “You can now order Children’s Book Bags from us.”

The options include eight different bags with either books, DVD or audio books. The bags are $10 for five to eight picture or board books; $5 for 12 chapter books; $5 for 15 softcover storybooks; $5 for three DVDs; $5 for 10 young adult/young readers books; $5 for eight Spanish books; and $5 for five audio books.

The Library will select books that best match a parent and child’s preferences.

“You’ll pay your items in cash when you pick them up on Saturday, Sept. 19 from [10 a.m. to noon] behind the library and bring home a bag full of surprises,” Library officials said.
