San Carlos’ playgrounds and park restrooms are now open, with modifications.
California gave the green light for playgrounds to reopen on Sept. 29. Afterward, cities began working to prepare their playgrounds and restrooms to meet new California Department of Public Health (CDPH) guidelines.
“We’ve prepared and disinfected our sites, added signs and determined new maximum occupancies,” San Carlos officials announced on Facebook. “When you visit our parks and playgrounds, you will notice new signs stating the rules for use issued by the CDPH and new maximum occupancies for play areas and certain amenities.
Playground users ages 2 and older must wear masks, socially distance and refrain from eating and drinking.
In Redwood City, playgrounds are set to reopen on Oct. 13 in compliance with the new state guidelines.
