The San Mateo County History Museum, Sanchez Adobe and Woodside Store will officially reopen on Tuesday, Oct. 20, with modifications, according to the San Mateo County Historical Association.
The History Museum hours will be Tuesday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online here.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, museum visitor capacity will be limited to assist with social distancing, museum officials said. The museum has established a recommended path of travel through the exhibits. Visitors are asked to wait for others to pass through doorways to maintain social distancing, and only one family group at a time can use the elevator. Hands-on interactives that are difficult to clean have been removed or are roped off, and exhibits are undergoing increased frequency of cleaning, officials said.
Staff and visitors are required to wear masks and maintain social distancing, per county health orders.
The Sanchez Adobe will open Tuesday-Thursday from 11 a.m – 4 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. And the Woodside Store will open Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. In both cases, hours have been reduced to increase cleaning time. A maximum of 5 people or one family group can visit either the Sanchez Adobe or Woodside Store at a time, with guests requested to wait outside until people exit.
