Donation drive helps local homeless on World Kindness Day

in Community

Today is World Kindness Day, where across the world people are challenged to commit random acts of kindness, and we’ve got a good way to celebrate it locally.

The Redwood City Youth Advisory Board is holding a donation drive benefiting LifeMoves Shelter Network’s homeless clients.

The youth group is seeking donations of baby wipes, regular-size toiletries-shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, body wash, toothbrushes and toothpaste, masks (cloth, surgical, N95, KN95) and Clorox wipes. Donations can be made at a contactless bin at the Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Ave, today from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and also on Friday, Nov. 20, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

You can also donate online by visiting this Amazon Wish List link.

LifeMoves operates 24 shelter and service sites from Daly City to San Jose, providing customized case management in both its shelters and through community outreach.
