A bicyclist who was struck in a hit-and-run collision in Belmont on Saturday has since returned home after being treated at the hospital. Meanwhile, Belmont police say they’ve identified the vehicle responsible and are working with detectives to locate the driver.
At about 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Belmont police reported on Twitter that they had shut down the intersection of Old County Road and Masonic Way, near the Wendy’s restaurant, due to the injury collision.
Police later released a still image from surveillance video of the suspected vehicle involved, identifying it as a newer dark blue Chevy 4D, license number 8PZN145.

“We are working to bring the suspect into custody and hold them accountable for their actions,” police said.
