A teacher at a Redwood City public charter school has launched a GoFundMe campaign to support families at the school that have been hard-hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rocketship Redwood City collected feedback from the school community and identified 15 heavily-impacted families needing support, teacher Eliza Kritz said in the GoFundMe campaign, which as of this writing had raised $2,280 of its $3,000 goal since launching Jan. 21.
“All of the proceeds raised will be given to families to be used on bills, clothing, and food assistance,” Kritz said.
