Three separate vehicle thefts in North Fair Oaks on Sunday resulted in the loss of tens of thousands of dollars in work tools, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 9 a.m. Sunday, sheriff’s deputies were called to a report of a stolen work truck containing about $50,000 in work tools in the 800 block of Warrington Avenue, the sheriff’s office said.
Separately, the sheriff’s office received a report of a theft of a vehicle containing about $15,000 worth of work tools that was parked in the 300 block of 5th Avenue. The theft reportedly occurred between the hours of 2 a.m and 11:45 a.m.
Also, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 12:26 p.m., a vehicle parked on the street in the 700 block of Barron Avenue was reported stolen. The vehicle contained about $5,000 worth of tools.
All vehicles were entered into the Stolen Vehicle System. The initial police logs do not mention whether the thefts may be connected. Further information about the investigations weren’t immediately available.
