San Mateo County is offering all residents ages 65 and older the opportunity to receive the first COVID-19 vaccine dose for free at a new drive-thru site at San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

The SFO clinic, which operates at the Long Term Parking Garage at 806 S Airport Blvd., began Feb. 12 and is providing vaccinations to all eligible residents regardless of health care provider or insurance coverage.

Advances registration is required for the clinic, which operates twice per week for a four-day trial run. Dates include this coming Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday, Feb. 19, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Residents must bring a photo ID showing date of birth to the clinic.

“No walk-up or on-site registration is available, and persons not meeting the eligibility criteria will have their appointments canceled and be turned away,” the County said.
