The price for Caltrain’s Monthly Pass will be slashed by 20 percent from April to September in a bid to attract riders as people return to work, and to provide financial relief for those who have been riding regularly during the pandemic. April passes can be purchased starting March 21.
“A standard monthly pass is the same price as 15 round trips, costing between $96 and $433.50, depending on how many zones one is traveling,” the transit agency said. “A monthly pass provides free rides between the zones selected on weekdays, and allows the passholder to ride any distance free on weekends and holidays.”
Monthly passes are only available through Clipper. Riders can sign up for a Clipper card at this website or by using a Clipper machine at the San Francisco, San Jose, Sunnyvale, Redwood City, Millbrae or Palo Alto stations and at hundreds of retail vendors.
