Redwood City police are investigating a fight at a bar that seriously injured a man early Monday.
Officers responded to the Wine Bar at 840 Brewster Ave. at about 2:18 a.m. on a report of a fight and found a man unconscious with head injuries, police said.
“Witnesses reported the victim had been assaulted by another group of male subjects that had been drinking in the bar,” police said. “The witnesses told police the victim had been punched and fell to the ground. While on the ground the suspects continued to punch and kick the victim. The suspects then fled the area in several vehicles in different directions and have not been identified.”
The victim was transported to the hospital with major non-life threatening injuries, police said.
