San Mateo County Health’s Pfizer clinics are now open to residents 12 and over, the County announced today. This comes after the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) recommended the Pfizer vaccine for use in the younger age group.
Previously, the vaccine was approved for people ages 16 and older. Pfizer is currently the only vaccine approved for use by those who are ages 12-17.
Individuals under 18 “must either be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the vaccination clinic or bring a signed copy of the consent form to the clinic,” the County said. Click here for locations, schedules and consent form.
