Broadway Masala restaurant in Redwood City is one of several regional eateries taking part in “Dining for India,” a charitable effort aimed at supporting COVID response efforts in India. On Tues., May 25, participating restaurants will donate 50 percent of their sales to support American India Foundation, which will apply the funds toward supporting India’s health infrastructure.

According to organizers Andrew Freeman & Co., the restaurant-powered aid will help the foundation finance oxygen, ventilators, cold storage equipment and temporary hospital facilities, as well as protection for frontline workers and assistance for people whose lives have been disrupted by the pandemic.

Joining Broadway Masala in the effort will be these other Indian restaurants: Amber India (San Francisco, Los Altos, San Jose); Aurum (Los Altos); Besharam (San Francisco); Bhoga (San Francisco); New Delhi (San Francisco); and Rooh (San Francisco) and Rooh (Palo Alto).
