A 36-year-old man charged with unlawful sex with a minor was caught trying to leave the country with the juvenile after he posted bail, according to the Redwood City Police Department.

Dylan Raymos, 36, was stopped by security at San Francisco International Airport on Wednesday, July 7, while attempting to travel to Amsterdam with the victim, police said.

Police learned about the unlawful relationship on June 1, when a citizen reported seeing Raymos and the victim engaging in intercourse at a nearby park in public view, police said.

Police contacted  Raymos and the juvenile, which led to an investigation into the relationship. After obtaining a felony warrant for his arrest, Raymos was taken into custody in Menlo Park for the warrant on June 15. The following day, Raymos was ordered by a judge to have no contact with the victim. He then posted bail and was released from custody on June 19.

When Raymos attempted to board a plane to Amsterdam with the juvenile, airport security learned of the restraining order, leading to an arrest. Raymos is currently being held at the San Mateo County Jail on $5 million bail.
