An employee of a pest control company was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of stealing jewelry from the home of a client in Portola Valley, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. And investigators say Connor Timmons, 23, of Menlo Park, may have used his occupation to steal jewelry from other unsuspecting customers.

Earlier this month, deputies responded to the home in Portola Valley after the victim reported she believed an employee from Complete Pest Control had taken “a large amount” of jewelry, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Detectives learned Timmons was on searchable probation. On July 13, they contacted him at his Menlo Park residence and conducted a probation search, during which they found “a large amount of jewelry” in his bedroom and located the victims stolen jewelry.

“Timmons could not give an answer to how he obtained the other jewelry that did not belong to the victim,” the Sheriff’s Office said.

Timmons was arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail.

Anyone whose done any recent business dealings with Complete Pest Control and has any missing or stolen items is asked to contact Detective J. Piper at 6503634062 or email jpiper@smcgov.org.
