San Mateo police have released video footage in the hopes of identifying suspects in a home invasion last month during which one of two victims were shot.

On Thursday, Sept. 9, police were called to the 1000 block of College Avenue just after 3:04 p.m. and located a 27-year-oldĀ  man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the San Mateo Police Department.

Detectives learned three suspects waited for a victim to come home and when he did, they rushed at him and pistol-whipped him while attempting to force their way into his residence, police said. A second victim, who was inside the home, heard the disturbance, ran from the suspects and was shot and injured while fleeing the scene.

The suspects were wearing all black clothing and masks and fled in a black 2007-2012 Lexus LS460 sedan, according to police.
