A new full basketball court has been installed at Red Morton Park.
The Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Service posted a brief video of the shiny new court on social media Wednesday.
The court was built due to community demand for more outdoor basketball opportunities. Last year, the city began piloting a temporary half court there, and it got a lot of use that helped to inspire installation of a new court.
As part of the project, the city is also building a new practice wall for tennis next to the basketball court. That project has been delayed due to shipping delays, “but the area is prepped and ready to go when it arrives,” according to Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Service.
