Redwood City police arrest man, recover over 80 items stolen from Home Depot stores

A 24-year-old man was arrested in Redwood City last week in connection with the theft of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from Home Depot stores in the Bay Area.

On Friday, Dec. 3, Redwood City police detectives began investigating a tip about suspicious activity involving Eric Crossman in the 200 block of Grand Street. Detectives conducted a probation search at Crossman’s home and recovered over 80 stolen items belonging to Home Depot stores in San Carlos, San Mateo, Colma, Pittsburg, Brentwood and San Jose, with a total value of $14,000. The items were mostly high-end power tools and electronics, police said.

Crossman was booked into San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of commercial burglary, possession of stolen property, resisting arrest and possession of a control substance, police said.
