A man was arrested on suspicion of discharging a firearm at an inhabited dwelling in North Fair Oaks on Sunday night, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. At about 10:11 p.m., deputies responded to the 2700 block of Devonshire Avenue on a report of gunfire, the Sheriff's Office said. No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident. An investigation led to the arrest of Luis Varga, a North Fair Oaks resident, on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and maliciously and willfully discharging a firearm at an inhabited dwelling, the Sheriff's Office said. Man arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting unconscious victim

A 20-year-old man was arrested in Redwood City last week in connection with a sexual assault of an unconscious victim that occurred last summer, according to the Redwood City Police Department.

The crime reportedly happened in August 2021 and an investigation led to the identification of Joshua Meyers as the suspect, according to police.

Detectives obtained a $110,000 arrest warrant. On Wednesday, Dec. 29, Meyers was located at a residence in the 400 block of Ruby Street and arrested without incident, police said.

He was booked into the San Mateo County Jail on the warrant for sexual assault.
