Belmont man arrested for stabbing in San Carlos

A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a non-injury shooting outside of a bar in unincorporated Belmont on Sunday, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to Chris’ New Harbor Bar at 150 Harbor Blvd. about 10:15 p.m. on a report of a man with a gun followed by a report of shots fired, the Sheriff’s Office said. The suspect had fled upon the arrival of deputies, who secured the scene and collected evidence.

On Monday, detectives investigating the shooting arrested Christian Spremich, 32, of San Mateo, in Half Moon Bay. Spremich was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on charges including deadly assault with a firearm; discharge of a firearm, criminal threats and unlawful carrying of a firearm.
