A person who was trespassing on the Caltrain tracks in Menlo Park was fatally struck by a northbound train at about 10:36 a.m. today, the transit agency reported.
Northbound Train No. 113 was carrying about 68 passengers when the collision occurred. There were no reported injuries on board.
The collision occurred on the tracks between Encinal and Watkins avenues, according to Bay City News, which cited a Caltrain spokesperson. The newswire further reported that the fatality is the fourth on Caltrain’s right-of-way in 2022.
