Redwood City to resume in-person council meetings, continue virtual option

Redwood City will hold its next City Council meeting on Monday in a hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual options.

City councilmembers and key city staff will attend the meetings in person in the council chambers. Seating capacity will be limited for public members and social distancing will be maintained, the city said.

Public members will be able to comment both in-person and as they watch the meeting virtually.

The city recently installed Bipolar Ionization Systems in HVAC systems throughout city facilities to reduce airborne pathogens and improve air quality.

“We are looking forward to resuming in-person meetings, while continuing to offer a virtual option, beginning with our City Council meeting next week,” said City Manager Melissa Stevenson Diaz. “By offering both options, our hope is that members of our community will continue to participate in a way most comfortable for them.”

Council meetings will continue to be broadcast live to Redwood City residents on Astound Broadband cable Channel 26, Comcast cable Channel 27, AT&T U-verse Channel 99 and streamed live via the City’s website at redwoodcity.org. You may also join the Zoom call by visiting redwoodcity.zoom.us and entering the Meeting ID shown on the agenda.
