A gun buyback event is happening in South San Francisco on Saturday that will offer $100 in cash for handguns, shotguns or rifles and $200 in cash for “ghost guns” and also for assault weapons as classified in the State of California
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the North County Courthouse Parking Lot at 1050 Mission Road in South City, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, which is holding the event in partnership with the South San Francisco and San Bruno police departments and also the Citizens for San Mateo Gun Buyback.
“Any individual can surrender weapons, no questions asked,” officials said.
