Free Shapespeare in the Park is returning to Redwood City’s Red Morton Mark for three weekends from Aug. 13 through Aug. 28.
The San Francisco Shakespeare Festival’s (SF Shakes) performance of Much Ado About Nothing will start at 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays on the Valote Road side of the park, at 1455 Madison Ave.
“Our relaxing outdoor setting provides an opportunity to see high quality, professional theater, free of charge,” the city said.
This is SF Shakes’ 40th year of providing free, in-person outdoor theater performances in the Bay Area. Free Shakespeare in the Park began in 1983 with its debut production of The Tempest in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
