Art, wine and other delights coming to downtown San Carlos this weekend

The San Carlos Art & Wine Faire will return to downtown San Carlos this weekend, Oct. 8-9, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at San Carlos Avenue and Laurel Street.

The 30th incarnation of the faire will feature 150 artists, beer and wine, food selections and entertainment spanning three stages. A Family Fun Zone will get the party started for the littles from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday with singalongs, magic, puppets and more.

Artisans will set up shop in booths along the streets with offerings including ceramics, glasswork, metalwork, woodturning, sculpture, jewelry, clothing, toys and other handcrafted creations.

Food and drink purveyors at the faire will include Gourmet Faire, Peter’s Kettle Corn, Me Gusta Gourmet Tamales, Chicken and the Farm, Hawaiian BBQ, Sonoma Teriyaki, Made Out of Dough, Lin’s Dim Sum, MB’s Place, Tropical Hut, Nob Hill Pizza, Mister Softie, Barrett’s Lemonade and Bliss on Tap cold brew coffee.

Musical entertainment including Beatles Party Band Ticket to Ride, the California Cowboys’ rockin’ Country and Western tunes, Kickback’s Motown, R&B, Latin and rock sounds and Carnaval’s Santana tribute and more will all be part of the mix Saturday and Sunday.
