A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violating a domestic violence restraining order, robbery and residential burglary involving a female victim in North Fair Oaks last weekend.

At 11 p.m. Saturday, San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a man violating a restraining order by showing up to the protected person’s home in the 200 bock of 1st Avenue and robbing her of her cell phone and money. She was not injured in the incident.

A few hours later, the suspect, identified as Alex Guerra-Arevealo of Redwood City, returned to the home and tried to force entry into the victim’s bedroom, according to the Sheriff’s Office. With deputies already in the area looking for him, they managed to find him hiding nearby, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Guerra-Arevealo was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility, where he is being held without bail on a probation hold for violating the terms of his protective order, officials said.
