Two people found deceased in their room at a Belmont hotel Wednesday apparently suffered a drug overdose, although an investigation continues as police await toxicology results from the Coroner’s Office.
At 2:52 p.m. Wednesday, Belmont police responded to a medical call concerning a couple at a hotel in the 400 block of Concourse Place, police said. Officers found a 31-year old-man and 30-year-old woman deceased in their hotel room. Police suspect their deaths to be the result of a drug overdose based upon evidence found at the scene.
The names of the deceased were not being released due to the ongoing investigation.
