An anti-Asian hate rally and march is planned in Millbrae this Saturday.
The “Asians United in Action” will start at Millbrae City Hall, 621 Magnolia Ave., at noon, with a march scheduled for 12:30 p.m. followed by a rally back at City Hall at 1 p.m.
“During the rally, we will discuss how we can improve overall safety, awareness, and protection of the AAPI community along with community at large,”Millbrae city officials said. “We will launch actions for legislative changes on these violent crimes, and we will work with the ACLU to enhance their smart phone app for hate crime reporting.”
The event is a response to a reported spike in violence and crimes against Asians nationwide.
