The new, elevated Hillsdale Station will officially open April 26, Caltrain announced today.
Located at 50 E. 28th Ave., the station is about four blocks north of its previous location and “features a center-boarding platform and pedestrian underpass, eliminating the need for riders to wait at a crossing gate to get from one platform to the other,” according to Caltrain.
The station is part of the 25th Avenue Grade Separation Project, which is separating the tracks from the road at 25th, 28th and 31st Avenues. The east-west connection at 28th Avenue recently opened to traffic, while the connection on 25th Avenue will open in summer 2021. The 31st Avenue connection is expected to open in the fall.
