A 23-year-old San Carlos resident was fatally shot in Richmond on Friday, police said.
Mariee Beardon, 23, was found with fatal gunshot wounds on a walking path in the 4300 block of Wall Avenue (leading south to Taft Avenue) at about 12:52 a.m. Friday, police said.
Officers responded to the area following activations by the city’s ShotSpotter gunshot detection system.
No further details about the ongoing investigation have been released by police.
