Sobriety/driver’s license checkpoints are planned on Friday in San Carlos and on Monday in Half Moon Bay, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
The San Carlos checkpoint will take place in the 600 and 700 blocks of El Camino Real, and the Half Moon Bay checkpoint will take place on Highway 1 north of Kelly Avenue. Both will occur between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office said.
“Additional deputies from the Sheriff’s Office will also be patrolling throughout the County of San Mateo over Labor Day weekend looking for drivers suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
