On social media, NBC Bay Area reporter Janelle Wang shared video from the station’s news helicopter showing a long line of cars waiting for COVID-19 booster shots at the San Mateo County Event Center today.
Last Thursday, the CDC expanded eligibility for booster shots to millions of more Americans. Booster doses for all three vaccines available in the U.S., including those by Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson, are offered at the Event Center, located at 1346 Saratoga Drive in San Mateo. The Event Center is open on Tuesdays from noon to 7 p.m. and Wednesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
