The last Caltrain heading out of San Francisco will depart at 12:05 a.m. on all three nights of the Outside Lands, the massive three-day music festival that will kick off at Golden Gate Park today.
For riders heading to the concert, Caltrain offers northbound weekday and weekend service to the San Francisco Station at 4th and King streets. Concert-goers can then hop on Muni’s N-Judah line before walking seven minutes to the park. Riders must wear masks and are urged to drink responsibility. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on trains starting at 9 p.m.
“Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system,” the transit agency said. “Tickets aren’t sold onboard trains but can be purchased at station ticket machines. Riders that wish to use contactless payment can use either Caltrain mobile app or a Clipper card, which can now be purchased at a Ticket Vending Machine at the San Jose, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, Redwood City, Millbrae and San Francisco Stations.”
Tame Impala, Lizzo, The Strokes, Tyler, the Creator, Vampire Weekend are scheduled to play at the Outside Lands Festival this weekend along with a host of other musical acts.
