Will your home be over-the-top with holiday cheer in 2021?
That’s the question Redwood City is posing to its residents, who are encouraged to enter their home decorations in the Second Annual Home Holiday Decorating Contest. Entry forms for the contest open Nov. 29 and the deadline to enter is Sunday, Dec. 19 at 11:59 p.m. (or when the city maxes out at 50 entries)
Entry is free into the contest. First, second and third place winners will be selected in the categories of Merry & Bright, Holiday Spirit and Incredible Inflatables. The most coveted award will be Judges Favorite. Prizes include festive goodies and gift certificates from local businesses, along with yard signs to proudly display in front of your homes, aka bragging rights.
Judging takes place Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 20 and Dec. 21 at sunset, “so make sure to have your displays on and ready for our team,” the city said.
