The Community Foundation of San Carlos is hosting “a community conversation around mental health implications on our health and overcoming the stigma of mental illness,” Tues., May 24 from 6-7 p.m. at the San Carlos Adult Community Center, 601 Chestnut St. in San Carlos, per foundation representatives.
The event is open to all community members and light food and drinks will be served beforehand.
Tuesday night’s presenter and community panelists will include: Madison Duran, Sequoia High School student and board member at the Community Foundation of San Carlos; Suzie Hughes, LMFT, executive director of One Life Counseling Center; Sara McDowell, mayor of San Carlos; Angie Murphy, LMFT, trainee at One Life Counseling Center and presenter; Aaron Nayfack, MD, Developmental and Behavioral pediatrician, PAMF and board member at Sequoia Health District; and Ilana Yakubovich, MA, RYT, director of Health and Wellness, San Carlos School District.
