The Domini Hoskins Black History Museum & Learning Center is returning to Downtown Redwood City for Black History Month.
From Friday, Feb. 3 through Tuesday, Feb. 28, the museum will feature 22,000 square feet of displays showcasing the extraordinary contributions of African Americans throughout history at 890 Jefferson Ave., formerly Cost Plus World Market.
The pop-up museum will open to the public from noon to 5 p.m. daily except for Mondays, when special group tours are offered (by appointment only). Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for children under 12 and seniors 65 and over.
This mobile museum is a labor of love for its founder, Belmont resident Carolyn Hoskins, who personally curates the entire exhibit. It’s also an all-volunteer effort, and volunteers are sought to support the museum’s running this month. Online sign-ups with information and shifts can be found here.
